Who are Two Meeps?
Two Meeps is an Indie Pop/Rock band by two friends from Bavaria, Germany and Preston, UK.
Their songs thematize emotions that can be hard to talk about or process.
The name came from Troisnyx's tendency to say meep a lot, using it in the context of good things and people.
She often used to call Christoph a meep, and as such, the name Two Meeps was born.
The idea of starting a band began with their debut single Météore, first written by Troisnyx. After seeing how well they worked together, they decided to become a band.
Inspired by video game music and bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steely Dan or Mylène Farmer, the bass and drums are a strong focus of their work.
All music is written, recorded, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Two Meeps.
It is also worked on remotely, while using as many live instruments as possible.
Troisnyx writes most of the songs and lyrics, plays drums and keys, and sings.Christoph writes some songs, handles most of the arrangements, plays guitar and bass, sings, and does the mixing and mastering.
